Swimming Pool Borders

DSC_8542

I was down gardening in Studland yesterday and couldn’t resist taking some photos of the swimming pool borders that I designed and planted a couple of years ago and last year – they’re establishing nicely. I should be back there next week and so will take some better photographs with a decent camera to do them justice.

Freeing the Quince Two – or Bramble Hacking

DSC_8548

A coupe of years ago I planted a couple of quince saplings at the top of a garden I work in. Over the past two years the brambles, bracken and gorse had taken over slightly and swamped the two trees. So I broke out the hedge-trimmer, brush-cutter, chainsaw and loppers and hacked it all back. The quince trees are now free..!
